To begin, take a look at the thoughts I journaled as my trip came to a close:
"Today marks exactly 31 days since I stepped foot on this dessert. Tomorrow I board a plane to leave. I didn't want to come. I didn't want anything to do with this trip at first when we were planning it. And now I stop and I reflect and I think about all I would have missed. How much less I would have known God had I stayed home. Home much growth I would have been deprived of had I done what my flesh wanted. God's hand worked. Again and again it worked. And here I've sat in the dessert and watched it in awe. Tomorrow I board the plane and I go home a different Erin. I have new friends. New adopted family. A fresh focus. A different period of growth. A new longing. A new burden."
Come with me as I share this journey in a place I've been quite often, but with different eyes. I will be posting about the trip on Thursdays for the next couple of weeks, make sure you come back and check it out!
Can't wait to hear more!!!
