time alone spent in silence and reflection,

may be on of life's most precious
and under-appreciated gifts.

I love the rustic little details of life.

birds singing to each other a top tree tops.
wind blowing through the trees.
   children's soft giggles.
bright blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
mud squishing through barefoot toes.
sun rays beaming in the window.
clear starry nights.
water rushing down the creek bed over rocks.
trees bursting forth with new life.
    worn out old hands.

bright moon beams.
sweet smells of farm markets.
rain drops soft pitter patters.
fields full of wild blooms.

early mornings greeted by the sun.
the sweet smells after rain.
wood crackling on the fire.
bees buzzing overhead.
the song of laughter.
beautifully painted sunsets.
 frogs croaking in the night.

some would call them the sweet details of life.

I get caught up in these things, and I love that I do, because they draw me closer to my Creator.  Too many people walk carelessly by without taking a moments notice, but these things are so full of joy, so full of His glory.

I am a lover of music, but  if ever anything shouts His praise I think it's these rural and sweet little details. These things He created to reflect His glory, and His majesty.

take a moment and notice these things around you and look at how they reflect our Creator.

//hiking//

Last Tuesday Abbie and I got together to clean the fellowship hall at church and then go hiking.

Abbie is such an amazing friend. She is my memory verse partner, an Anne of Green Gables lover, a fellow adventurer (believe me...we have a lot of trips planned to do together), a nationally registered EMT (I'm so proud of her!), and fellow classmate. The list could go on, but I'll stop. I think you've by now gathered that her friendship means so much to me.

It was so much fun having her as a classmate and being able to make graduation plans with her and then countdown the months and days til graduation. Speaking of graduation...I promise I am going to post about this. I had good intentions, but don't have all the pictures with me.

She is such an encouragement and inspiration to me!

We had so much fun hiking and enjoying the beautiful weather...oh and the picnic we had by the lake- that was just a bonus :)
I am definitely looking forward to more adventuring with her this year!

I guess I will post about our trip...hopefully my sisters won't get mad at me for beating them to posting about it!! =)

Liv and I left Sunday afternoon, after the afternoon church service to head down to Matt and Anna's house for a couple of days. It was a great trip but it all went by too fast!!!

We managed to do some thrift shopping,eat at Bojangles ( a MUST),go to the Outer Banks,play violins,sing together,take pictures,laugh,and talk,and laugh,and talk,and cry,and talk,and laugh,and cry some more.

We definitely made lots of memories while we were down there! Here are some pictures from the trip!!

Here are some random pictures that I took over the past weekend.I had a good time taking them...it was nice and quiet...gave me some time to talk to my Lord.I love moments where I can go out and enjoy nature with just me and God.
