{The Precious Blood}

1. The precious blood of Jesus Christ,
the covenant of grace,
unveils the wonder of God's love
to Adam's fallen race.
The sovereign King who died for all,
redeems us from our sin,
and makes us kings and priests of God
where we shall reign with Him.

2.The precious blood of Jesus Christ,
a new and living way,
gives access to a holy place
where we can boldly pray.
In trying time of grief and pain,
a throne of grace is ours,
where mercy flows for ev'ry need
with God's sustaining power.

3. The precious blood of Jesus Christ,
the song of saints above,
who glory in the risen Lamb,
and boast of God's great love.
From ev'ry nation, tribe, and tongue
one body all are we;
a people joined by grace alone
for all eternity.

{Only God}

Only God can split a rain cloud...

 Only God can fill an empty place with hundreds of people...

Only God can work in hearts...

Only God can answer prayer.

{Bro. Hector}

This man truly is a hero of the faith.

It was a privilege to be able to work along side him for three weeks and learn from him.

This man has a heart for God.

Tears come to his eyes when he talks about reaching souls for Christ...

especially his own people in Mexico.

There is just so much to learn from his life.

It took some work,but after some convincing (and some banana pudding) we got him to tell his testimony.

I wish I would have recorded it.

It was one of those things worth listening to over and over again.

But I didn't...

There was something that he said specifically stuck out to me though...

here it is:

"God has a plan for my life. I fall short, but He is always faithful."

He preached the one day out of Psalm 118:24.

He was talking about how every day God has a purpose for each person,

and we must seek Him about it.

If there is one thing that Bro. Hector kept bringing to mind it was this.

That each life has a plan,

and each day has a purpose.

{Tanisha's Story}

Seven years ago a baby girl was born...
I don't know much about this girl,
besides this:
~She was named Tanisha
and
~Jesus loved her before the world began.
I love the part of Tanisha's story that I got to be a part of.
It all happened on
{July 24th,2014}
at the Chitty's ranch.
 It was a rather windy day,
warmed by the New Mexican sun.
I was at the back of the chapel and Tanisha sat towards the middle.
I didn't notice her,
I didn't know her name,
and I didn't know her story.
That all changed over the course of several minutes.
For the next several minutes there were
{puppet stories}
{illustrations}
{songs}
{chalk drawings}
{preaching}
Then Bro. Chitty gave the invitation and invited the people who were wanting to ask Jesus into their hearts to come forward.
It was then I saw her.
I met her at the end of the aisle and took her hand.
I asked her what her name was,
and after some introducing,
I began talking to her about what she really came forward for.
I shared the plan of Salvation with her and then I prayed for her.
She told me she didn't know how to pray,
and I told her it was just like talking to God.
It was right after that, that I heard one of the sweetest prayers I've ever heard.
She asked Jesus to come into her heart and save her,
and once she got done talking about herself to God...
She prayed for her unsaved family members,
that they might come to know God.
I asked her if she had any questions,
and the first thing she could come up with was
"Can I get baptized now?"
So we talked about baptism and what it meant.
Then she said
"Do they baptism people here on the ranch? Will they do that tonight?"
She couldn't wait to get baptized.
She couldn't wait to follow God.
We talked for a little bit more and then we ended our conversations.
Before I parted with her,
I wrote her a few words in the cover of her brand new Bible, that she just received.
July 24th,2014
Today Tanisha asked Jesus to save her.

{ Home }

We made it home Saturday night...

Well I guess you can call it home.

{Home is where the heart is}

and when you spend three weeks serving with your heart in the Southwest,

yet your house and parents are in the east...

I'm not sure where you call home.

Our traveling went well...

No delays or missed flights.

We serve such an awesome God.

(Keep watching for posts. They really are coming soon. There's lots to share! )

{Navajo Trip}

good ole bus #1 at Shiprock

We just got back yesterday from New Mexico.

What a great week!! The Lord certainly answered prayer!!

There is so much I could say about this trip...

there were some highlights to the whole week though.

I had been praying for along time, that I would have the opportunity to lead someone to the Lord while on this trip.

The first time we went out on visitation I was able to lead a young lady, named Deanna, to the Lord!!!

What an answer to prayer...

but what does that Bible say?

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above that which we ask or think...

Not only was able to lead Deanna to the Lord,

but America and Tanisha, as well!!

America and I

Tanisha and I

please pray for these three and for the others who accepted Christ as their Saviour this week!!

There are many stories to tell, but you'll just have to wait til I can tell them in person!! :)

For now just enjoy some pictures I got while on the trip!!

a favorite...two boys reading their J&R's

Bro. Hector speaking on the cross and Christ's blood.

Home again...finally :)

In closing, I'll share a verse that the Lord showed me at the beginning of this trip:

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

{Arrival}

We finally made it early this morning around 1 am!!

After 6+ hours of delays,

13 hours of traveling,

and waiting for baggage to be brought back to us!!!

It's been an adventure already.

I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned.

I'll just share some verses from the lady worker prayer meeting this morning...

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever. Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee...

-1 Chronicles 28:9-10a

{Time of Departure}

It's almost time to leave...

We fly out at 4:30 this afternoon!

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to go on this missions trip...

but missions trips don't just happen...

after you board a plane,

go somewhere far away from home,

give the Gospel to someone who doesn't speak your language,

spend time with a missionary.

I was just talking to a friend about this last night...

missions trips happen when you step right out your front door

Because your next door neighbor, co-worker, cousin, friend, {etc.}  needs to know about the Good News too.

Don't wait for an opportunity to go to a foreign field to tell others about Him and His wonderful love...

You've been handed the opportunity to tell all you come in contact with.

Wow,what a privilege!!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  (Mar 16:15)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  (2Pe 3:9)

{ I will try and update my blog as frequently as possible on this trip!! }

{traveling}

I just got back from a week of camp yesterday. It was a good week of activity,fellowship,and preaching.

The beginning of camp,was the beginning of many summer adventures...

I leave for North Carolina in 6 days,where I'll be for 5 days.

Upon returning I will be home for 6 days before I help at VBS,pack,and house sit for half a week.

I leave for Texas in the middle of the week and when I get to Texas,I'll leave my bags packed, because the day after arriving down there I'll head to New Mexico on a missions trip.

After the mission trip in New Mexico,back to Texas I will return for two weeks,serving the Lord during missions trips to Mexico.

August 9th will be the day I head home. At this point it will be the end of summer travels for me,unless things change.

I'm hoping that each trip draws me closer to my Saviour and changes me more and more into the image of Jesus Christ.

I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to go places and serve.

I don't deserve any of it,but folks...

I serve a good God,who does good things.

From this point on til the end of summer I'll be keeping my suitcase nearby!!

{Go}

I have been thinking about missions a lot lately...mainly on the impact of missions trips in the lives of individuals.

I've been on 3 missions trips and have learned,enjoyed,grown,and changed because of them. I have seen God work in amazing ways on various missions trips. I believe each mission trip that I can take is a privilege from the Lord. I am excited to see where else around the world I can serve my Saviour-whether it be short-term or perhaps if the Lord leads this way...permanently!?!?

I actually studied why we should go on missions trips this morning in my devotions.

There are several reasons...I won't go into them all.

But what is the point of missions trips?

If you asked most people what the point of missions trips was,you would most likely get an answer something similar to this:

"The point of missions trips is to tell people about Jesus and win them to Christ."

Sounds like a good thing,right?

But does it just stop there?

Or are there really more reasons?

I believe it goes beyond just reaching souls for Christ.

Believe me reaching souls for Christ is extremely important and should be a priority in every Christian's life,but I think there is something more.

Read your Bible- I think it gives another clear reason.

You see my good 'ole King James Version of the Bible,which is the Word of God, tells me that ...

Mine eye affecteth mine heart...
Lamentations 3:51

I'm speaking from experience,so just hear me out for a minute.

I believe every Christian ought to be going on missions trips...

because once you go,

you realize that...

...your eye really does effect your heart.

Help Me Win the Lost

Missions trip to Mexico 2013

1.When I look into the faces
of people ev'rywhere,
Help me see lost souls in danger
and headed to despair.
Help me see the flame approaching
around their fleeting days.
Those who dies without the Saviour
are lost to hell-fire's blaze.

Chorus:
Help me win the lost
and see them in their need.
Help me win the lost,
salvation's cause to please.
Help me win the lost.
O Spirit,please empower!
Help me win the lost.
Oh,use me now this hour.

2.As I gaze into the future
and see the lost mans doom,
Help me always to remember
there is an empty tomb.
Jesus died for ev'ry sinner;
He won the victory.
Jesus lives!He is the Saviour!
Salvation's offered free!

Mexico 2013

Here is the long awaited (even though it's only 3 days since we have been home...) post that everyone has been asking me about!!!!

The Mexico missions trip this year was indescribable!I learned allot from this trip!!Just when you think things can't get any better than they already are,God makes it even better then you can imagine!

One of the main things God was working in my heart this year was having a burden for souls back home.See while I was willing to go to Juarez,Mexico and hand out the Gospel to as many people I could reach I was not willing to hand it out to my own people back here at home.
One of the quotes that was said this year that really stuck out to me was this:

"The lost souls that we are reaching in Mexico this week are the same lost souls back at home!"

When that statement was made it was like God hit me right up side the head...like "Hey!Are you listening to this???I am trying to teach you something!!!"

And boy did He teach me allot last week.

 I will share more about what I learned at church when I give my testimony.For now I will share some pictures!
People from the church that we worked with praying over the meetings..one of my favorite pictures!

Boys
I know that is only 5 of the VERY many pictures,but for now it will have to do.I have work that needs done right now,so I can't take the time and go through ALL the pictures,just to post some on my blog!
Anyways here are some verses that I was meditating on while we were on the missions trip.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.   For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.   But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
 2 Corinthians 4:3-7

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

VERSE 3:
His word shall not fail you-
He promise;
Believe Him,
and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying;
His perfect Salvation to tell.

CHORUS:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full into His wonderful face,
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of His glory and grace.

My friend and I just played this song on Sunday as a last minute offertory,but I was thinking on the words of verse 3..."Go to a world that is dying..."

Getting Ready to Leave...

Well this Saturday I am headed to Texas with 15 other people from my church.We are going down to spend a week at BPS working in Juarez,Mexico.I am excited about this opportunity that the Lord has allowed.This will be my second year going and I cannot wait to see how the Lord works this year!I know the week will go by so fast,but I am going to try and soak it all in,share with as many people as possible,and learn the lessons that the Lord wants to teach me.I have been looking at last years pictures and videos...getting myself all excited.I am sure tomorrow night will make me even more excited as I go to church and talk to my friends about going.Please pray for us as we go take the Word of God to the lost people of Juarez,Mexico!

Here is a link to the BPS video...I thought you might want to watch it.

Here Am I,Send Me

1.Here am I,send me.
Here am I,Lord,send me.
Unto Thee,willingly,
yielded I come.
Show the path that I must walk,
compel me then to go,
and if I stray
show me the narrow way,
for here am I,
send me,I pray.

2.Here am I,send me.
Here am I,Lord,send me.
Precious Holy Spirit,
fill and control.
Give me wisdom,send me strength,
and grant that I may be a mirror of
Your never ending love,
for here am I,
send me,I pray.

3.Here am I,send me.
Here am  I,Lord,send me.
Take my heart,
it is Your own,
my will is Thine.
Take my voice and let me sing
always unto Thee,
so that my days
shall flow in ceaseless praise.
Lord,here am I,
send me I pray.
