O the Deep,Deep,Love of Jesus

1.Oh the deep, deep love of Jesus
Vast.unmeasured,boundless,free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean
In it's fulness over me,
Underneath me,all around me,
Is the current of Thy love
Leading onward,leading homeward
 to my glorious rest above.
2.Oh the deep, deep love of Jesus
Spread His praise from above from shore to shore!
How He loveth,ever loveth,
Changeth never,never more.
How He watches o'er His loved ones,
Died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth,
Watcheth o'er them from the throne!
3.Oh the deep, deep love of Jesus
Love of ev'ry love the best!
'Tis an ocean vast of blessing,
'Tis a haven sweet of rest.
Oh the deep, deep love of Jesus
'Tis heav'n of heav'ns to me;
And it lifts me up to glory,
For it lifts me up to Thee.

VBS 2012

This past week was our church's VBS.The theme was racing. It was great we had sprint cars up on the stage and everything. My jobs for the week were helping with games, holding the girls side of the bucket for the penny offering, and whatever else needed done!Well whoever won the most nights of having the most pennies(girls vs. boys) got to put a pie in the other representative's face. The representatives were Caleb and I.The girls won Monday, the boys won Tuesday, the girls Wednesday, the boys Thursday, and on Friday night you should have seen all the pennies! It was crazy! The buckets were overflowing with bricks of pennies(a brick of pennies is $25!) well the girls side actually couldn't even hold the last 2 bricks,so we sat them on top. When we let go the girls won!So outside we went for me to put the whipped cream pie in Caleb's face,I did and then he came after me and wiped it in my hair...there is a video of me putting the pie in his face so I will hopefully have that posted on here soon! The week was good all together though,I think we averaged around 40-45 kids a night.I didn't hear of anybody getting saved, but the seed was at least planted!

Hill of Praise

 READ:Psalm 113:1-6
"Look how beautiful the sunset is!" exclaimed my friend as she paused in her ascent up the hill.
I looked, but wasn't impressed.I was at a lower elevation than she was,and decided that apparentley she saw something that I didn't.
When I reached that height,I,too was awed by the splendor.None of it had been evident in the bottom of the hill. The rest of the neighborhood went about their business, unaware of what we were witnessing.Trees obscured their view of the beautiful sunset.
Sometimes you may feel like life is boring:the world goes on day after day, always the same old thing.Or maybe life is full of sadness, death's,tragedies,or natural disasters, and you don't see the purpose in it.Everything seems to go wrong.
How can you rise up out of the valley of despondency and see the beauty of life?By climbing the hill of praise.Praise God for who he is and for what He has done.Remember His promises.Thank Him for your blessings, for all the good things in life.Sing and smile.
As you climb the hill of praise, more and more of the glories will be revealed.Once you reach the top,you will be amazed how bright the outlook is.
Reaching the top of one small hill of praise doesn't necessarily mean that you will see all the beauty and understand all the meaning of life. There will always be more heights to climb and more to see and experience. One glorious day you will enjoy the perfect beauty of heaven with no recollection of the sadness below.

  • There's always a gap between planting the seeds and reaping the harvest.Usually the wait is years, not months.
3.Harvest requires tenacity
  • Keep sowing the right seeds and don't get weary with well-doing.
4.Harvest always reflects the seed.
  • You get what you plant.

  • Submission is learning to give in.Submission is letting the other person win.Submission is saying "I'll let your desires become mine, and I am happy to let you have your way."
  • Let others have their way and to sacrifice yourself for someone else-you are preparing for the great harvest.
Romans 12:10
A Wonderful "Someday" Comes by Waiting for the Right Season
  • Patience is one of God's big requirements-He likes to work by His timetable, and He's not in a hurry. He's more concerned with who you are becoming than how fast you are getting there.-Pg. 63
