{ r e c a p p i n g }

For those of you who have been waiting-- if any one still reads here!-- I'm finally taking the time to post.

{Thanksgiving}

It feels like that was so long ago, but it hasn't been too long...we had a very laid back holiday |down south with my sister and brother in law| lots of eating and relaxing. It was a lovely trip...

{Discovering}
I came across this while at my sisters. To most the paper in this picture has no value, but to my sisters and I it brings back loads of memories...you see about 10+ years ago we were "The March Sisters"...we had big imaginations and great ideas-we would hold missions conference and this is just one of the bulletins from our "meetings."

{Packing}
Something I've been doing a good bit of lately...and something I need to do VERY soon...it seems I always go on multiple trips around the same time of the year...always adventuring...

{Creating}
For those of you so curious to know why I would save a lid out of the trash can [before remembering my love of mason jars]...
...this is why I saved the lid...to make a mason jar snow globe.

{Collecting}
I'm always collecting mason jars...this one is the newest in the collection...a blue glass mason jar from either the 20's or the 30's...

{Rejoicing}

♪♫ it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go...♫♪
...including my house as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Saviour. Above is a chalk art I created of my favorite Christmas carol, and then of course some Christmas lights photographed below.

{Traveling}
As mentioned above, I need to pack very soon...my flight leaves this weekend!! I'll be going a few states away to visit some friends, then returning the week of Christmas...I like traveling though, because

{adventure is out there}.

4th of July Travelings...

This past weekend my family and I headed down to land of the ducks, guineas, horse, llamas, zebra ...ok we went to my oldest sisters house in NC to spend the 4th of July with them.

{ Happy Belated Independence Day!!! }

We got down there Thursday morning and did some running and then went to there midweek service.

Friday morning we started our day of events with one of the most painful events for me...

senior pictures.

Anna kept asking me if it was painful for me to smile for the camera and I kept replying with a very confident "yes!"

I like to be on the other side of the camera,so this was hard.

Anyways...here's a few.

 I have been warned that this is only the beginning of pictures. I am supposed to return again in the fall for more. This time was kinda a last minute thing.

Banana puddin' that I made
We went over to friends from the church down there. We had lots and lots of food. We ate around a campfire and then sang some songs about our Nation. After that we played volleyball.

"July 4"

Anna and I making a heart for our dear sister,Olivia.

These are some first attempt pictures at capteruing sparklers on camera. Anna's turned out better,but I'm using the excuse that she had a tripod and I didn't!! :) After we were done with the sparklers,some of us younger folks played kick-the-can til it was time to go.

This is a pile of stuff that we got on Saturday. The guys went kayaking and caneoing with some of the other guys from church,so mom,Anna,and I went shopping. We went everywhere-from multiple thrift stores,to World Market,the mall,and Rite-Aid. We all got a good bit of stuff,and I think we enjoyed ourselves!! :) We spent enough time shopping for a year,I think!!

This is why we went to World Market. Olivia thought I'd like this measuring cup set,and after looking it up Anna said they had a World Market store down there,so we went in so I could get one for my ever-expanding hope chest.

 It's pretty neat. It's glass measuring cups that turn into a mason jar. It's multi-functional--measuring cups and decoration!

Sunday was our last day down there,we went to church,relaxed in the afternoon,and went back to church that evening. After the evening service some of us played our instruments together,others sang,and the rest of them listened. It was a great time of fellowship.

We left this morning and headed home.

Another summer trip off the list...

Home for awhile before packing up again.

{Mason Jar Cup}

I've got this thing for mason jars. I don't know what it is...I just like them...

a lot.

They are one of my favorite things.

Some people probably think I'm weird and would just tell me it's just some glass.

I think there cool and you can do great things with them!!

I've been wanting to make one of these cups for awhile...I just didn't take the time to. I finally decided I was going to do it,but had to wait for dad to get the washer. I got the idea from here.

I finally made it today and I'm happy with the results!!

All you need is a mason jar and lid (obviously),a #14 stainless finishing washer,a straw,and about 5 minutes.

I made the hole with a hammer and nail and then had Josiah use the drill on it just to make it a little larger.

you hot glue the washer around the hole...

fill with sweet tea and enjoy...

ok so it doesn't have to be sweet tea,but it will be more enjoyable if it is!!
