//one year//

I can't believe it's already been one year since I've earned the new title "violin teacher." It has been a joy to teach Racheal violin. I couldn't ask for a better student--she is such a blessing. Here are a few excerpts from letters she has written me about playing violin:

I just wanted to say thank you for being my violin teacher. I can't wait to play in church...You're the best violin teacher EVER! :)

I want to serve the Lord with my violin, in any way that I can.

I just wanted to say thank you for all you do to help me...in violin. I really enjoy playing in church

When Mrs. ________ mentioned about how you are helping me and Abby play in church, there is nothing I could do to thank you enough. :) Thank you so much for helping me and Abby achieve better in violin.

Since the beginning she has wanted to use her violin playing for the Lord. What a testimony for this young lady!! She is indeed using it for the Lord and has become my violin partner in church each Sunday!! She impresses me so much!

She probably gets tired of hearing me tell her "Keep practicing",  "Keep working",  "PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!" but I like to remind her that playing violin is about

1% talent and 99% hard work!!

 I couldn't be prouder of her using her ability for the Lord and His glory!!!

{New Violin}

I recently purchased a "new" violin...

I only call it new because it's new to me.

It's actually from the 1900's...

if you ask my one friend

they will tell you very confidently,

it is from

{1908}

Whether that true or not,

I'm not sure.

It was made in France some time ago.

As you can tell from the old coffin case,

it is indeed old.

I bought it off ebay

and the person sent me the wrong violin at first.

Finally after I contacted them,

they let me know that they had sent the wrong one and would pay for me to ship it back and send me the right one.

True to their word, they did just as they said.

I have taken my other violin on many adventures,

 and played for various things...

I'm excited to see where I will get to play my new violin!!

{New Chapters}

Things have kinda been changing here in life.

Things are starting...

things are ending...

there's been so much going on.

I decided to wait a little to post about anything to make sure things were certain.

My family and I are in the process of moving about 50 minutes away from where we live now. We should be completely moved by 18th or 19th of this month. I'm excited... this will be my around my 12th move...the first time in about 7 years. I'd say it's about time to move :)

My family is also continuing on with plans for Finish Ministries and is working with our church about that. Hopefully we will be going out and working on projects in the near future.

As of next Friday I will no longer be working at Chick-Fil-A. My boss is all for me coming back, so I am considering working one long day a week. With moving it would be too far of a drive to work every day.

I'm trying to work on school, but it's been kinda crazy around here. School is also a new chapter since my first day of school this year, was also my last.

My violin student is doing so well. She just started her second book and she is getting ready to play in church for the first time with a group I got together. As a teacher I am super proud of her! I think she's learned that it's not really about talent, but about hard work!

I think that about covers that main stuff... there are other chapters too, but not as big!

God is so great... I'm thankful I don't have to go through all this alone... He's been leading all the way!

(Psa 32:8)  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
