"You match... you have to get a  picture together..."

these were the words my ma spoke.

If you know me and my family well enough,

you know that getting our picture taken is a painful event...

...But we matched,

so we had to.

As painful as it was,

this picture has become one of my favorites.

On a day when the weather feels like it could be Easter Sunday,we anticipate the coming of Christmas. Only 4 days until Christmas and the weather is in the 60's and sunny. I was outside enjoying the weather earlier today and got to thinking about the weather and how it felt like Easter weather...how fitting to be thinking about Easter at this time of the year. We celebrate the birth of our Saviour because He came to die for our sins. 

Jesus knew when He came

He would suffer in shame;

He could feel every pain and sorrow.

But He left Paradise,

With His blood He paid the price-

My redemption to Jesus I owe.

Born to die upon Calvary,

Jesus suffered my sins to forgive;

Born to die upon Calvary,

He was wounded that I might live.

Let's not forget the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. We are celebrating the birth of a King!!

I am so glad that He does truly live,not Jesus alive from the grave,but alive in my heart too! Let's not just celebrate his resurrection at Easter,let's celebrate it the whole year!I hope you all had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!

Crucifixion Verses

It being the Easter season and all,I was reading the crucifixion story...I think these verses sum it up pretty well.

 

"He is despised and rejected of men;a man of sorrows,and acquainted with grief:and we hid as it were our faces from him;he was despised and we esteemed him not.Surely he hath borne our griefs,and carried our sorrows:yet we did esteem him stricken,smitten of God,and afflicted.But he was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him;and with his stripes we are healed."~Isaiah 53:3-5
