current events >> MARCH
ACCOMPLISHED >> My goal of buying a plane ticket. I was also able to clean my car inside + out. I also played a piano/violin offertory at church that was long awaiting to be played. Nothing too major this month, but goals nonetheless.
TRIED >> Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Bars from www.jamiecooksitup.net OH MY! So delicious!!
LEARNED>> That Jesus remains the same. That in the midst of life's chaos, He is a constant.
READ>> The Choice is Yours by Terrie Chappel. I had read Terrie Chappel's first book (It's a Wonderful Life) several years ago and I loved it! My friend had bought The Choice Is Yours and kept sending me quotes from it at the beginning of the year, so like any good friend, I borrowed it from her. Wow! So good! It talks about twelve choices that women of God need to make! Any young lady or lady needs to read this book! I am definitely buying it- I'm just waiting until Striving Together's sale when their books are 50% off... who doesn't love a good bargain?!? ;)
LOVED>> My Jr. Church students had papers to fill out every week on the week that we learned “Pray without ceasing” I had the kids write out “Why I should pray without ceasing?” One of my students answer was this-- “...one more thing, because it will keep me in touch with God.” Simple + True.
GONE>> Texas! I actually just got here two days ago. And I'll be here for a couple weeks. I'll be down here on the Juarez Project starting this weekend and then of course visiting with my sister, brother-in-law, and adorable nephew. I'm glad to be back down here with them- it's been about 6 months since I'd last seen them!
PLANNED>> A three-week Jr. Church series from 1 Thessalonians to teach for the month of March. Rejoice. Pray. Give Thanks.
REATED>> just a few pallet signs I think, I don't devote a lot of time to creating, but when I can find a few free minutes during a nice evening I do enjoy going to the garage and working on a sign or two.
PHOTOGRAPHED>> One newborn session, two senior sessions, and one engagement session. I've been fairly busy and these pictures will be coming to the blog (hopefully) soon! I am always so honored when people ask me to help them tell their stories through pictures!!
STARTED>> Getting back in the habit of writing cards/letters. Last summer/fall I started writing one “thinking of you” card every week. Just writing a short note to someone who'd been on my mind. I love getting letters and I don't think there's anyone on earth who doesn't like getting a handwritten note. Life kind of exploded with craziness + chaos and my card writing had gotten pushed off to the wayside. This month though I started getting back into the habit of writing. I'm glad I did and I hope I can keep up with it!!
LOOKING AHEAD>> APRIL:
-post at least two photo shoot pictures
-walk more
-take pictures for two more photo shoots.
