We were in New Mexico for a little less than half of the month, then we headed to Missouri for a week, and then home for Thanksgiving. It has been a busy month full of many emotions and different things going on.
ACCOMPLISHED>> a 13 mile hike in Canyonlands National Park. I think that was the longest hike in one day I've ever gone on. We ended the day hiking out of the canyon in the dark. It was fun... and memorable.
TRIED>> to get settled back into home... that hasn't really worked. Sometimes, you just have to forget the plan and rearrange things a bit.
LEARNED>> Forever will never be long enough with the ones you love. This month my grandma went home to be with her Saviour after 89 years. Thankful for the hope of seeing her again one day, but sad to have to say goodbye.
READ>> "Simply Tuesday" by Emily Freeman. I struggled through this book. I wouldn't read this again... just wasn't impressed.
GONE>> While we were in New Mexico my parents and I and another young person from the church went to Utah and hiked to a slot canyon (as mentioned above). We also went to Missouri and spent time with my sister and her family.
PLANNED>> Gingerbread house making and cookie making and all the good Christmassy things... but with things happening with my grandma everything's been a little up in the air.
CREATED>> a gift list for all the family members... or at least tried to.
PHOTOGRAPHED>> No photo shoots in November, but I've taken a good bit of landscape pictures. Also a lot of sunset pictures in New Mexico... I can't pass up a good sunset.
STARTED>> Making a list of goals for the New Year... is it already that time of year?!?
LOOKING AHEAD>> DECEMBER
+finish up my list of New Years Goals
+possibly do a maternity shoot with my sister
+start Christmas shopping!
Sounds like you had a busy month! So sorry to hear about your grandma. Hope you have a happy December and a very merry Christmas!
