adventure || p. e. i. ||

what is prince edward island known for?

it's rich, red soil?
it's vibrant green grass?
it's very own ice cream factory?
or
it's beloved fictional character anne of green gables and her author l.m. montgomery?

while each play an important part in the island's uniqueness, the fact that it is the home to anne of green gables makes it known.

there are actually two museums and we toured them both the same day.

{lovers lane}
 "Once and again, I stray down and listen to the duet of the brook and wind, and watch the sunbeams creeping through the dark boughs, the gossamers glimmering here and there, and the ferns growing up in the shadowy nooks."

{anne's room}

"And I can hear the brook laughing all the way up here. Have you ever noticed what cheerful things brooks are? They're always laughing. "

though the first museum seemed to be flooded with tourists, we did so enjoy our time at green gables...

l.m. montgomery actually lived in this house at one point and was married here as well.

neither place really resembles the green gables we all known from the movies, but both museums are a must see when visiting the island!

tomorrow we'll tour the beaches!

  1. Oh that one house looks like Silver Bush from another one of L.M. Montgomery's series!
